Well informed for your holiday – FAQ at the Jochgrimm Mountain Hotel
The hotel features an elevator, barrier-free showers, and toilet seats available upon request. Some rooms are specially designed for guests with reduced mobility. Please let us know in advance so we can accommodate your needs.
On request, our kitchen team prepares lactose & gluten free menus for each guest personally. For the additional effort and the additional costs in the purchase of goods, a small cost contribution will be charged. Every day we have a vegetarian option in our half bord menu.

Special dietary requirements, intolerances and allergies must be booked in any case before arrival and can not be communicated for organizational reasons only on site!
Upon arrival you will receive a bathrobe for the duration of your stay.
Bathrobes for children are not available!
Sauna towels are provided in the wellness bag in your room and can be exchanged upon request.
To protect the environment, disposable slippers are not provided in the rooms. We kindly ask our guests to bring their own slippers to comfortably use the outdoor areas of our wellness center. Disposable slippers are available at the reception on request, or flip-flops can be purchased for an additional charge.
On our website you will always find the latest rates with a best price guarantee. Prices vary flexibly depending on the season, length of stay, and current occupancy. This means for you: the earlier you book, the better the price.
In Lavazè, you will find our partner rental service, where you can benefit from discounts on e-bikes and mountain bikes.
E-bikes are available for €45.00 per day, while mountain bikes are available for €30.00 per day.
Upon request, your preferred bike can be delivered directly to the hotel, allowing you to start your tour in complete relaxation.
Cancellation conditions
For cancellations, the following conditions apply exclusively according to the terms and conditions:

- – Up to 45 days before arrival – no cancellation fee
- – Up to 21 days before arrival – price of the first night + deposit
- – Until 7 days before arrival – 80% of the booked arrangement + deposit
- – From 7 days before arrival and in case of no-show – 100% of the booked arrangement

- In case of cancellation 45 days before arrival the deposit will be retained.

Our breakfast buffet is available daily from 07:30 to 10:00 a.m.
For dinner, we welcome you to our restaurant between 6:30 p.m. and no later than 8:00 p.m.
Note: To ensure smooth service and the freshness of dishes, we kindly ask you to enter the dining room not later than 8:00 p.m.. If you arrive later, the menu may be reduced or the buffet may no longer be available. On request, our kitchen can prepare a cold platter for you until 8:30 p.m..
Please note that unused services cannot be deducted from the price of your stay.

Our breakfast buffet offers a selection of sweet and savory delights, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, homemade treats, as well as refreshing and hot beverages.
On request, our kitchen team will gladly prepare freshly cooked eggs, omelets, or porridge for you, for a small extra charge.
We have consciously chosen the 3-star category to offer our guests a relaxed, authentic mountain experience – without unnecessary luxury, yet with everything that makes a stay special. At the same time, you enjoy comfort, facilities, and service at 4-star level: from spacious, stylishly furnished rooms to high-quality materials and personal attention to every detail. In this way, we deliberately combine the cozy, family-like atmosphere with the comfort and quality of a 4-star property – a concept our guests truly appreciate.
The booked room will be available from 3:00 p.m.. Should you arrive earlier, you are welcome to leave your luggage safely at the reception until check-in.
On the day of departure, you may check out until 10:30 a.m..
In the event of an early departure, the room will be charged until the originally booked departure date.
The hotel does not offer childcare services or miniclub, but provides many opportunities for fun and entertainment. A playroom with table football and table tennis is available at all times, and various board games can be borrowed at the reception. In addition, digital games are available on the in-room tablet for extra entertainment.
A playground is located approximately 100 meters from the hotel. The surrounding area also offers a wide range of outdoor activities for children, from sledding and skiing in winter to hiking and cycling in summer.
Please note that the sauna and relaxation area is reserved for adults. Access to the pool is only permitted for children when accompanied by an adult.
For families with children, a reserved table is provided in one of our dining rooms for breakfast and dinner.
In the restaurant, we kindly ask guests not to run around, so that other guests and our staff are not disturbed during service.
We also kindly ask parents to accompany their children to the buffet and assist them in selecting their food to help prevent accidents.
Children’s rates apply when children stay in a room with two full-paying adults.

The fresh mountain air in your nose… more than 50 perfectly groomed cross-country skiing kilometres as well as breathtaking South Tyrolean mountain panoramas await you.
Our altitude of 1700 to 2100 meters is ideal for altitude training.Access to the cross-country ski trail is located 300 metres from the hotel when snow conditions are good; otherwise, the entrance is just 3 km away, directly at the cross-country ski centre.
As a partner of the cross-country ski centre, our guests receive a discount on the daily rate. Please ask at reception for the discount card.

Our Adults-Only Day-Spa (from 18 years) is an exclusive retreat for peace and relaxation – the saunas are nudist areas and may only be used without swimwear. With intentionally limited access, you can enjoy a relaxing mountain escape daily from 2:00 PM to 7:30 PM.

Our restaurant is divided into different areas to meet the various needs of our guests. We make every effort to take table preferences into account; however, we cannot guarantee confirmation.
When assigning tables, we try—where possible—to seat couples and families with small children in separate areas of the restaurant.
Dogs are permitted exclusively in double rooms of the “Corno Nero & Latemar” category. No other pets are allowed.
The daily rate is €18.00 per night (without food) and, if necessary, €30.00 for the final cleaning.
Dogs may only be brought upon our written confirmation.
To ensure a pleasant and relaxing stay, please find our rules below:
Leash
We kindly ask you to keep your dog on a leash at all times throughout the hotel premises in order to avoid conflicts with other dogs and to ensure that other guests are not disturbed.
Hotel room
Please understand that any damage to furniture, doors, carpets, etc. caused by your dog will be charged. We recommend bringing your own dog blanket so that your four-legged companion feels at home. If the dog remains alone in the room, no room cleaning or housekeeping service will be provided, even if requested.
Restaurant area
Please understand that dogs are not allowed in the restaurant area.
If you do not wish to be separated from your dog, we will be happy to prepare a table in our bar “Wastl’s” for breakfast and dinner.
Wellness area
For hygiene reasons, dogs are not allowed in the entire wellness area (pool, saunas and relaxation zones) nor on the sunbathing lawn.
Hotel grounds & indoor areas
We kindly ask you to keep the hotel grounds clean and to remove any soiling immediately.
For hygiene reasons, dogs are not allowed on sofas, armchairs, or at table height; we kindly ask you to pay attention to this.
In our parking area, there is a charging socket with a power output of 5 kW for your electric vehicle.
The cost is €0.85 per kWh.
Approximately 200 meters from the hotel, there is also a standard publicly accessible AC charging station.
Our small fitness area is well equipped with a wall bar, treadmill, weight bench, rowing machine, multifunction tower, free weights, and a stationary bike for your individual workout.

Every Wednesday (subject to change), we offer a guided hike in our beautiful corner of South Tyrol.
With departure at 09:30 a.m. in summer and 10:00 a.m. in winter, our hiking guide will accompany you on a discovery tour of the region.
Further hikes are organized by the local tourist association and are available with the Guest Card.
To make your departure as relaxing as possible, we kindly ask you to settle your hotel bill the evening before. This way, you can start the next morning calmly and leave without any waiting time.

For more adventurous activities, you can reach by car in just a few minutes: climbing in the Rosengarten area (15 min), rafting on the Avisio River (20 min), horseback riding (20 min), or the forest adventure park in Obereggen (15 min).
Free, unmonitored parking is available directly at the hotel. There is no enclosed garage for cars, but covered storage is available for motorcycles. Motorcycle trailers can also be parked. Larger vehicles can be safely parked on the adjacent public parking lot if needed.

Our heated infinity pool at 30°C offers you an unforgettable view of the surrounding mountains.
In the outdoor area, there are two heated jacuzzi’s, 36°C with magical view over the Dolomites.

In only 15 minutes by car you reach the Skicenter Latemar with its 48 km of slopes, 18 lifts, 2 toboggan runs and a snowpark! Great winter fun is guaranteed here!
Ticket sales directly on site at the entrance to the lifts. Ample parking space available.

The hotel features a ski and bike storage area accessible only with your key card. The ski storage is equipped with ski boot dryers, ensuring your equipment is always dry and ready to use.
Relaxed and environmentally friendly holidays: with us you are mobile even without a car and can easily reach the World Heritage Dolomites with its countless hiking trails and mountain railways as well as other excursion destinations in a short time. Directly on the slopes, you will find the Rottensteiner family ski rental with modern equipment for skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, sledging, and snowshoeing. Thanks to its location next to the ski pass office, you can enjoy convenient service and professional advice directly in the ski area.

So that you can find us without any problems, we have summarised all the travel information for you here:
- On the Brenner motorway coming from Brenner take the Bolzano Nord exit and continue in the direction of Val d’Ega. After about 20 km. at Rauth turn right in the direction of Jochgrimm / Passo Oclini. Arrived at the passo Lavazè turn right in the direction of Jochgrimm. After about 3 km. at the end of the large parking lot you will find the Berghotel Jochgrimm.
- On the Brenner motorway coming from Trento take the exit Neumarkt/Egna and drive in the direction of Cavalese. After about 25 km. at Cavalese leave the roundabout at the second exit and drive in the direction of Passo Lavazè. Drive. When you arrive at Passo Lavazè, turn left in the direction of Jochgrimm. After about 3 km. at the end of the large parking lot you will find the Berghotel Jochgrimm.
!!! NAVIGATION SYSTEM: With a navigation system we are not always easy to find, instead of entering the hotel address, we recommend entering “Passo Lavazè”, from there it is only about 3 km. to your holiday home.
!!! WINTER: For vehicles with diesel fuel it is necessary to add winter fuel or an antifreeze additive.
Throughout the hotel, you can enjoy fresh mountain spring water directly from the tap. Please note that beverages are not included in half board. In the restaurant, we also serve high-quality alpine microfiltered spring water from our in-house system, which is charged separately.
For enjoyable moments, our hotel bar “Wastl’s” offers a fine selection of regional wines, various beers, fresh juices, classic cocktails, and aperitifs.
